主要從事絲狀真菌合成生物技術研究，包括真菌天然產物基因組挖掘與合成機制解析，工業菌株代謝工程改造生產重要醫藥和生物基化學品。主持兩項國家自然科學基金，承擔多項企業技術開發項目，爭取企業合作經費1300多萬，實現技術轉讓2項。入選山東省“泰山學者”青年專家（2020年）、研究所“清源學者”青年人才（2020年）、中國科學院沈陽分院“優秀青年科技人才獎”（2020年）和浙江海正藥業“創新突破獎”（2018年）。
